Volunteer management and Research Manager
GreetingsJ, my name is Rajab Mukiibi (Raj), am 39Years old, I was born and raised in a polygamous home of 26 in a small town called Bigiri in the eastern part of Uganda approximately 241 kilometres from Kampala. Growing up, I studied under extreme conditions with limited facilitation from my parents. I worked various odd jobs to make ends meet and making my university education complete in 2009 with the Islamic University in Uganda a situation I would not wish any other child to face. And this forms the basis for my inspiration “sharing is caring”;
I am a son, a brother and a father. I had an experience working with several children development initiatives, but was not fulfilled with what I was doing. Something was missing in my heart and my life. I needed a place to grow, pour my passion, abilities, and skills and to serve others in my community.
I never understood why any human would live at the complete mercy of lack… Most children and youth, single mothers are cut off from their families and struggle to survive. Many are exposed to multiple dangers including malnutrition, violence, sexual exploitation, physical abuse, poverty and psychological pressure.
Nevertheless, most have genuine cases that need to be listened to. I am happy to be a part of the solution. World Prayer Warrior’s Mission gave me the opportunity of being part of the family that wants the best for others.
I now live to serve, and this brings me great fulfilment- even years later. World Prayer Warrior’s Mission is still growing and helping many. This is my motivation every day.
